Wherever you take it, the XDJ-XZ gives you all the features you need to get the job done. The XDJ-XZ is a professional all-in-one DJ system that’s perfect for events, a bar or club, or your private studio. The dream would be for this AI technology to make it into Pioneer’s 2024 player, or at the very least, the following revision.Īlas, history would tell us you’re right and that Denon would beat Pioneer to the punch here.Description Pioneer DJ DJ XDJ-XZ-W System for Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro To me, this is the future of DJing, and not some of the ‘innovative’ features Denon have introduced like dual layers and on board storage, which I honestly don’t care for personally. I’m also hoping that Rekordbox 7 (and possibly even the next DDJ 1000 replacement) takes their vocal AI feature one step further and allows you to isolate stems on the fly - along the lines of Djay Pro and VDJ. But as you say, an XZ2 would likely be right at the end of the 3000’s life, just before releasing their new flagship player, and key changing is just such a useful tool. It makes sense that they’re omitted on the RX3 - keep some unique features for the 3000. I am hoping that they at the very least include key changing controls this time on the XZ2. ![]() more professionally processed, only so both have a place in the market. Denon will be the first to bring new features in the future and Pioneer will follow suit, but then vll. Pioneer will have somewhat longer release cycles, because the customers do not constantly buy new and also rely on the long support. One will leave the innovation at Denon I'm sure. but I think I'm 100% sure that the XDJ XZ2 will be almost equal to the XDJ RX3 so quasi the all-in-one variant of the 3000. the pressure to bring a 3000 compatible XZ set on the market will only increase when the suppliers no longer deliver the old parts, which will certainly happen in 2023 - 2025, then you would have to bring anyway at least a facelift, as back then with the Nexus II or you bring the XDJ XZ2 with the 3000 screen to match Denon.Ĥ. And not only them, every DJ would be stupid if he had a Nexus set at home when he gets an XZ for 40% of the price.ģ. With the 3000 Pioneer has another reason why bars and clubs should buy the main lineup. But for bars or small clubs, an XZ was always the better deal - there's virtually nothing you can do with the Nexus set that the XZ can't do. Of course you can replace broken components of a Nexus set individually. back when the XDJ-XZ came out the sales of the Nexus II went into the basement, because except for some mega venues and festivals the XDJ-XZ was the better and cheaper choice. the reason why Pioneer is waiting has a name CDJ-3000. ![]() the rumor that it would be technically difficult is ridiculous, in the end you just build an XDJ RX with 4 channels that is not rocket science.Ģ. ![]() Pioneer will probably release an XDJ XZ2 in 2023, but they would be foolish to do it now.ġ. ![]()
